MISSION STATEMENT: To be the PEAK ASSOCIATION in Apex, The Town of Peak of Good Living!
Hollands Crossing is a charming subdivision of over 300 ranch style and two-story homes which were originally built from 1999 to 2001. The subdivision is located near the intersection of Olive Chapel and Apex Barbeque Roads, which is easily accessible to Routes 55, 64 and 1, and will be within a couple miles from the planned interchange for the future 540 and 64. RDU airport is an easy 30 minute trip from the subdivision.
There is plenty of shopping close by, and a movie theater within five minutes located at the new Beaver Crossings shopping center. Several big box stores (TJMaxx, Home Goods, Borders, Dicks, Circuit City, Old Navy) plus many smaller stores and restaurants are also located there, and a new Kohl's opened in October '07.
Western Apex is mostly rural with subdivisions mixed in with ranches, and Hollands Crossing backs up to the planned Apex Greenway/Park that is slated for development in the coming years, with phase one planned for construction beginning in 2008.
As of fall 2007, the base schools for the subdivision include: Olive Chapel Elementary which is a year round school, Apex Middle (traditional) and Panther Creek High schools. Lufkin Middle School in Apex is the nearby year round option for middle schools.
